Works for me.... Hell, I'm ready to yank the tax exempt status for all organized religious groups. The second that they start putting their money into political action funds, or endorsing particular political candidates, or bills, they have crossed the line of separation of church and state, and no longer deserve their tax exempt status.

The federal government will no longer forgive student loans in exchange for public service if that service is related to religion, according to a new Education Department rule from the Obama administration.
Utter bull@!$%#. The Act was passed in 2007 and the conditions for public service and which non-profits were eligible were put into place then. Epic Fail. Again.

"However, if you work for a nonprofit organization, your employment will not qualify for PSLF if your job duties are related to religious instruction, worship services, or any form of proselytizing," the announcement said. Also, the organization cannot be a labor union or a partisan political organization.

Really? Good. Neenie, you and I are going to have to seriously disagree on this one. It's not just non-profits. It's non-profits that engage in the above. Note that it does not specify any religion. And if you also see the date, it was passed under GWB, one who claimed that he ran for president because God told him to.

Okay, you lost me. My utter bull@!$%# statement had to do with the statement that it was a new rule from the Obama administration. It's neither new nor from the Obama administration. My point was that it had nothing to do with this administration and it always exempted churches and certain other organizations.
Ya wit' me?

Same reason the Episcopal Church came about... that and the need for disposable wives by king Henery XIII to have an heir to the throne.

The same rule applies to Unions according to the article. Seems to be another good example of compromise.

Yeah,I noticed how the mention of union participation was skipped over.Guess it didn't fit the "war on religion"BS.
